Cosy Pièro
Welcome to the website of the artist Cosy Pièro (1937–2023).
After studying in Brussels and spending formative years in the south of France, she lived in Munich, where, as a single mother, she founded the legendary artists’ bar Bei Cosy. In the early 1980s, she returned fully to art and developed a powerful, distinctive body of work.
Since then, she created large-format paintings, larger-than-life sculptures and expansive installations. At the heart of her practice, she always worked on paper – a medium that remained an immediate and defining part of her artistic expression right up to the end of her life.
